Kaleidophone — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Kaleidophone is made by Stefan Almqvist (AppLand). This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: Kaleidophone does not collect, store or share any personal data.
Camera
Kaleidophone uses your camera to turn light and motion into sound. Camera images are processed live on your device and immediately discarded. They are never saved, recorded or sent anywhere.
Recordings
When you record, the audio is saved as a WAV file on your device. Recordings only leave your device if you choose to share or export them yourself, using the iOS share sheet.
Bluetooth
Kaleidophone uses Bluetooth only to connect wireless MIDI keyboards and controllers that you pair in SYNC → BLUETOOTH MIDI.
Local network
Kaleidophone uses your local network only for Ableton Link and MIDI over Wi-Fi: to play in time with Ableton Live and other Ableton Link apps on the same network, and to receive MIDI from a Mac. These connections stay on your local network. iOS asks for your permission the first time.
No data collection
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising
- No data is sent to AppLand or any third party
Children
Kaleidophone does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
